Nick French is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of TG Tracking. He leads the company the way he runs: pace over panic, preparation over improvisation, and a finish line measured in years rather than quarters.
He founded the company in Johannesburg in 2017 and has built it into a group that now runs from South Africa into the United Kingdom and the United States, keeping eyes on the vehicles, trailers and high-value assets that African logistics depends on.
His approach is unglamorous on purpose. Build something that works. Look after the people who build it with you. Then keep going, long after the interesting part is over.

TG Tracking builds GPS and IoT tracking that works where the signal usually stops. Vehicles, trailers, equipment, drivers and sensors on one platform, built for transport, logistics, mining, construction and rental operators across Southern Africa.

03 / Endurance
The desert does not negotiate.
Nick is a long-distance runner. In 2025 he completed the Marathon des Sables, the multi-stage ultramarathon run across the Sahara in southern Morocco: roughly 250 kilometres over six days, carrying your own food and kit from the first step to the last.
There is no crowd out there and no shortcut, and no version of it that goes well by accident. You train for a year to earn the right to suffer well for a week. He entered for the same reason he does most things: to keep on keeping on.
It is the same discipline he brings to work: decide the distance, respect it, then do the boring things properly every single day until it is done.
04 / Beyond business
The part that matters most.
Away from the company and the road, Nick is a husband and a father, and that is where the same steadiness shows up quietest and counts most.
He is the one who turns up: at the table, on the sideline, at the end of a long day when there is nothing left in the tank and he finds some anyway. Everything else on this page is what he built. This is what he is.
